The Cathodic Disbondment Test Cell is a bottomless transparent tube with lid, counter electrode depending on application and a reference electrode. The tube is also available as Plexiglas tube to enable the adaptation to curved surfaces.

The lid has two holes for counter- and reference electrode and it is fixed at the sample with silicon.

It is used for tests according to

• ASTM G-8, ASTM G-42.
