Description

The FAA-3-PK-130 is the heavy-duty member of the FAA-3 family, reinforced with a polyketone mesh to deliver the highest mechanical robustness in the anion exchange range for demanding CO2 electrolysis and multi-compartment cell work. At 110-150 µm it reaches tensile strength above 50 MPa and a burst rating above 3 bar, trading some area resistance for the toughness needed in three- and four-compartment configurations and gas-diffusion-electrode setups. A 72-hour salt-solution pretreatment between stabilizing meshes brings the membrane to full working condition before assembly.

  • Maximum Mechanical Robustness: >50 MPa tensile strength and >1000 MPa Young's modulus, the highest in the FAA-3 series.
  • Verified Integrity: Burst test >3 bar suits demanding multi-compartment and CO2 electrolysis cell geometries.
  • Low Dimensional Swelling: <3% swelling in water keeps compartment geometry stable during extended runs.
  • Broad pH Compatibility: Stable across pH 1–14 for varied electrolyte and gas-diffusion-electrode chemistries.
  • Defined Pretreatment: 72-hour soak in 0.5 M NaCl between stabilizing meshes brings the membrane to full performance.
  • Cell-Ready Formats: Standard sheets or pre-cut for Redox Flow’s X-Stack, S-Stack, and 3-compartment X-Cell hardware.
