Description

The M-Cell Full Cell is a compact, 1 cm² multipurpose electrochemical research platform built around two independently configurable PEEK flow bodies, giving researchers closed-cell, open-cell, half-cell, and three-compartment operation from a single piece of hardware. Its precision Luggin-capillary reference system places the measurement point to within roughly 0.2 mm, enabling accurate individual-electrode diagnostics across ten documented configurations. Exchangeable graphite, nickel, titanium, and stainless steel current collectors, plus a 0.1–10 mm electrode thickness range, let one cell body support catalyst screening, membrane testing, and multi-compartment separation studies without hardware changes.

  • Ten Configurations, One Cell: Closed cell, open cell, half-cell, and three-compartment modes covered by a single hardware platform (configs A–I, H).
  • Precision Reference Placement: Luggin capillary system positions the reference measurement point to roughly 0.2 mm accuracy.
  • Independent Anode/Cathode Collectors: Two flow bodies each accept their own current collector material for asymmetric electrode studies.
  • Four Current Collector Materials: Graphite, nickel, titanium, and 316L stainless steel, with others available on request.
  • Wide Electrode Thickness Range: Accommodates electrodes from 0.1 mm to 10 mm depending on material and flow rate.
  • System-Ready: Pairs with the Multiport Electrolyte Reservoir and Flow-Through Electrode Holder for sealed, temperature-controlled, instrumented testing.
