Description

The M-Cell Half Cell distills Redox Flow’s M-Cell platform down to a dedicated multipurpose, three-electrode configuration, giving researchers a precise, reproducible alternative to beaker-type half-cell setups. A single PEEK flow body with one exchangeable current collector delivers fixed, repeatable working/counter/reference electrode geometry, with electrolyte flowing directly through the working electrode for RDE-comparable kinetics that also work with porous, non-planar materials. Two Half Cells combined with appropriate gaskets reproduce full Full-Cell functionality, giving labs a flexible entry point into the platform.

  • Reproducible Half-Cell Geometry: Fixed working/counter/reference spatial arrangement removes the positioning variability of beaker cells.
  • Flow-Through Kinetics: Electrolyte flows directly through the working electrode, giving RDE-comparable data that also works with porous electrodes.
  • Two Counter-Electrode Modes: Wire counter electrode (config G-1) or a second flow body as counter electrode (config G-2).
  • Flexible Reference Operation: Reference electrode runs in dead-end (syringe) mode or continuous pump-flow mode to prevent bubble accumulation.
  • Combinable Hardware: Two Half Cells with matching gaskets reproduce the functionality of a full M-Cell Full Cell.
  • Shared Platform Compatibility: Same current collector materials, electrical configuration, and reservoir/holder integration as Redox Flow’s Full M-Cell.
