EQCM 14 mm or 25.4 mm dia., 15 mL - Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance cell
Redoxme

This is a vertically mounted electrochemical cell for operando goniometric X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) during electrochemical experiments. The cell can be used as a two-compartment H-cell with the working and counter electrodes separated by a membrane, or as a single-compartment cell without a membrane. The working electrode is mounted on a height-adjustable centre post and can accept samples up to 25 mm x 25 mm and up to 4 mm thick. Electrical contact to the working electrode is made via a "wet" tantalum foil which, with the Kapton foil window, determines the electrolyte thickness (standard 300 um), allowing lower-energy X-Ray sources and a minimum 2theta of 5 deg. The cell consists of a multipart PEEK body with a separable counter electrode compartment. Both compartments are fitted with tubing for independent electrolyte filling and recirculation. It accepts standard 6 mm reference electrodes and 6 mm diameter rod or helix counter electrodes. Available in two variants for aqueous or organic electrolytes.
Application note This XRD EC H-cell is optimised for demanding operando electrochemical and XRD experiments. The minimum electrolyte thickness and geometry allow for real-time measurements of ion intercalation in electrochemically active materials or monitoring of electrochemical processing (deposition etc.) using either low or high energy X-ray sources with a minimum 2theta value of 5 deg. It is compatible with most goniometric XRD instruments and can be customised on request.
