A polycrystalline metal plate available in four square sizes (7 x 7, 10 x 10, 15 x 15, and 25 x 25 mm) with 0.5 mm thickness. Pure metals and alloys (Ni, SS 316L/317L, Ti, Zn, Pb, Ta, Ag, Mg, Cu, Co) are used as reactive electrodes or passive current collectors in electrochemistry.

Application note

Metal plates find application in a broad range of electrochemical processes due to their high electrical conductivity and mechanical stability. They are also commonly used as current collectors for thin film characterization. After use, the metal plate can be chemically cleaned and mechanically polished using micro-sized abrasives (e.g. sub-micron alumina suspension) followed by sonication. The metal plate electrodes can be used repeatedly.
