Description

Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) Ruthenium-Iridium (Ru-Ir) coated titanium electrodes offer exceptional durability, outstanding conductivity, and stability in harsh environments. The MMO coating provides low electrical resistance, ensuring high current efficiency and low overpotentials during electrochemical reactions. The Ru-Ir coated titanium electrodes are stable over a wide range of voltages in both acidic and alkaline environments. Ruthenium and iridium are both excellent catalysts for oxygen evolution and hydrogen evolution reactions. Customization is possible: electrodes can be made in any size, shape, and thickness on request.

Application note

MMO Ru-Ir coated titanium electrodes are widely used in electrochemical processes including:

  • Water electrolysis for hydrogen production (OER and HER)
  • Chlor-alkali technology (electrochemical production of chlorine and NaOH from brine)
  • Electrochemical sensors for industrial and environmental monitoring
  • Supercapacitors requiring long-term conductivity and corrosion resistance
  • Wastewater treatment via electrocoagulation and electrooxidation
