Noble Metal Plate - platinum, gold, palladium

A polycrystalline, high-purity noble metal (platinum, gold or palladium) in the form of a square plate. Available in five sizes for Pt and Au (5 x 5 x 0.5 mm, 7 x 7 x 0.5 mm, 10 x 10 x 0.5 mm, 15 x 15 x 0.5 mm, 25 x 25 x 1 mm) and five sizes for Pd (0.3 mm thickness). Noble metals are recognized as being superior electrode materials due to their stability under electrochemical conditions in both aqueous and organic environments.

Application note

Noble metal plates find application in a broad range of electrochemical processes because of their high electrical conductivity, mechanical stability, and resistance to chemical attack. They are also commonly used as current collectors for thin film characterization. After use, the plate can be chemically cleaned and mechanically polished using micro-sized abrasives followed by sonication. The plates can be reused repeatedly.
