H Cell (Glass Frit Separator)
MTX Labs
Small volume test cell for liquid electrolytes. Benefit from this test cell for performing electrochemical measurements to study liquid samples, e.g. electrolyte solutions in lithium-ion battery research.
This test cell can be used for experiments with both a 2-electrode and a 3-electrode configuration. Typical applications are:
The test cell TSC 1600 closed consists of several high-quality building blocks: The gold-plated base unit (= "thermo block") comes with an integrated Pt100 temperature sensor that monitors the temperature very close to the sample, as well as a fixed platinum crucible that serves as sample container and counter electrode. To seal the test cell, a housing made of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) with two o-ring grooves is used which connects the base unit and the cap.
The PEEK cap has an integrated electrode made of a soda-lime glass sleeve bearing 4 separately connectable platinum electrodes, each with a polished front-end. Furthermore, the cap has two inlets that are sealed by plugs by default, but can be used for inserting capillaries or (pseudo-) reference electrodes made of metal wires.
