The OCV Cell is a dedicated open-circuit-voltage and overpotential-measurement accessory for flow battery test setups, letting researchers decouple anode and cathode performance without redesigning the main cell. An internal reference electrolyte - vanadium or Zobell solution, depending on the chemistry under test - establishes a stable reference point so individual electrode overpotentials can be measured directly rather than inferred from full-cell voltage alone. Constructed with PEEK end plates and a stainless steel stand, only graphite and corrosion-resistant tubing contact the electrolyte.
