EQCM 14 mm or 25.4 mm dia., 15 mL - Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance cell
Redoxme

Cell combining electrochemistry, Raman spectroscopy, and QCM into a single in-situ platform. Three main elements: (i) QCM sensor holder with gold-plated pogo pins; (ii) chamber with reference and counter electrodes, electrolyte inlet and outlet; (iii) sealing lid. Compatible with 14 mm and 25.4 mm quartz sensors.
During an experiment the Raman laser is focused onto the surface of the thin-film working electrode through a transparent Sapphire window and a thin layer of electrolyte (total optical path 3.2 mm). The electrolyte thickness of 2.2 mm ensures free diffusion of ions. Cell elements are glass and PEEK; compatible with aqueous (FKM/EPDM O-Rings) and organic (FFKM O-Rings) electrolytes. Gas-tight construction.
Application note
This cell can track kinetic phenomena such as near-surface proton concentration changes during oxidation/reduction reactions. EQCM simultaneously studies changes in interfacial mass and physical properties associated with electron transfer processes. It can identify materials such as carbon, metal oxides, polymers and electrolytes. Suitable auxiliary metals include Platinum, Gold, and Silver.
